Wally Cowin

Wally Cowin is a founding member of GALTA and has been elected as Director of GALTA many times. A travel junkie before retiring, he has working as a publisher, travel consultant, tour guide, bus driver, cruise director and travel journalist. The latest travel features, Where's Wally, can be seen in Gay News Network wwwgaynewsnetwork.com.au

Over the years, Wally's travel adventures have also appeared in Q Magazine, SX National, Blaze, Q News, Melbourne Star, Galah, The Village Voice Australia & Express in New Zealand.

Wally was awarded life membership to Brisbane Gay and Lesbian Business Network in 2002 and a community service winner at the 1992 Brisbane Queen's Birthday Ball as first editor and publisher of Queensland Pride. Wally is also an Aggie winner, presented at the GALTA AGM at Dreamworld in 2001. Wally has joined the Brisbane Greeter's Team, which offers free daily tours from the Queen St Mall Visitor's Information Centre.
