InterContinental Hayman Great Barrier Reef

InterContinental Hayman Great Barrier Reef is a private island resort at the northernmost point of the Whitsundays, set in the heart of Australia's Great Barrier Reef.

The island is home to 182 rooms, suites and villas across four distinct wings — Pool, Lagoon, Beach and Pavilion — alongside four hilltop residences designed by architect Kerry Hill.

Highlights include the largest saltwater pool in the southern hemisphere, Hayman Spa featuring couples' treatment rooms, sauna and steam facilities, a 24-hour fitness centre, and dining spanning Pan-Asian at Bam Bam to Cal-Mex at Aqua.

With no roads and no day-trippers, the island belongs entirely to its guests, reached by a scenic boat transfer or helicopter over Whitehaven Beach and the Heart Reef.

Warm, welcoming and unmistakably private, it's a place where couples, families and groups are free to be themselves.
