Team Rainbow presents its Art Show and 10th Anniversary/Gay Games Charity Dinner

24 Jul – 26 Jul 2026

This July, Brisbane’s Rainbow Community will gather for a milestone celebration of art, pride, and possibility as Team Rainbow presents its Art Show and 10th Anniversary/Gay Games Charity Dinner from 24–26 July 2026 at the iconic Kedron-Wavell RSL, 21 Kittyhawk Drive, Chermside, Qld. 4032.

After the overwhelming success of Team Rainbow’s inaugural Gay Games Charity Dinner in October 2025, the Annual Dinner has firmly established itself as a flagship celebration for the Rainbow and wider community. In 2026, this iconic event has been expanded into a vibrant three-day festival of arts, culture, community and connection, to celebrate Team Rainbows 10th Anniversary.

🌈 Saturday 25 July – Gay Games Charity Dinner & 10th Anniversary Celebration

Saturday marks the heart of the celebration, which is Team Rainbow’s annual Gay Games Charity Dinner, combined to celebrate its 10th Anniversary milestone. A decade of advocacy, inclusion, participation scholarships, leadership development and community-building will be honoured in a night of inspiration and celebration.

The Art Show will be open to the public from 10:00 am Saturday, inviting daytime visitors to explore and support local creatives before the evening festivities.

Adding to the excitement, honoured guest speakers from Team Perth will present an exclusive update on their bold and inspiring hosting of Gay Games XIII, March 2030. Their presentation will highlight Perth’s historic role as only the second city in Oceania to host the global Games. This announcement built momentum and pride across Australia’s LGBTIQA+ sporting and cultural communities. Guests will hear from some of the Aussie participants from the 2026 Gay Games in Valencia, performances by the Brisbane Pride Choir as well as some fabulous Guest Speakers.

More Than an Event it’s a Movement

This three-day celebration is more than a social occasion; it is a strategic, community-driven initiative that:

  • increases visibility and economic opportunities for LGBTIQA+ artists;
  • strengthens social connection and reduces isolation;
  • raises funds for Team Rainbow’s charitable programmes;
  • celebrates 10 years of involvement and impact in Queensland;
  • builds momentum towards the Gay Games XIII Perth 2030; and
  • establishes a sustainable and reproducible model annual event combining arts, sport and community involvement and development

By integrating a curated arts programme, fundraising, storytelling, and community engagement, Team Rainbow continues to deliver creative, safe and inclusive spaces where diversity is celebrated and belonging is strengthened.

Whether you’re an artist, a supporter, an ally, a sports enthusiast, or a member of Queensland’s ever-growing Rainbow Community — this is a weekend not to be missed.
